The Minnesota Department of Military Affairs (DMA) is accepting hunt applications for the Camp Ripley and Arden Hills Army Training Site (AHATS) 2025 Military Members Turkey Hunts. Minnesota residents who are current or retired military members, or have served since 2001 for any of our Nation's Armed Forces along with their dependent youth under the age of 18 may apply.

Turkey Hunt Application
|
Permits will be issued as follows:
For Camp Ripley, 60 permits shall be issued for each hunt.
For AHATS, (archery only), 20 permits shall be issued for each hunt.
You must have your application in by December 31, 2024. Only successful applicants will be notified by mail. Those successful will be mailed the hunt rules, orientation and logistical information in mid-March, 2025.

Successful applicants will be e-mailed a notification which will include a document that outlines license purchasing & turkey registration procedures. Orientation and range briefing information will be sent out via email prior to the hunts. Upon arrival hunters will sign in, verifying their understanding of the materials contained within the email. At this time you will receive your vehicle pass and permit and be allowed down range to the hunting area.

All hunters are required to have a valid Minnesota turkey hunting license.

Registering and taking part in the Service Members turkey hunt will not affect your eligibility for the Camp Ripley General Public Archery Deer Hunt or the Deployed Soldier muzzle-loader or archery deer hunts.

No group applications will be allowed.

To apply: Complete this online form and submit by clicking the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page. A confirmation page will be displayed upon successful submission of your application. Note: All fields are required. It is very important that your application reflect your current mailing address. Also, the return date of last deployment must match your DD214 form. If you are selected for the Camp Ripley/AHATS Turkey Hunt you must bring a copy of your DD214 form to confirm eligibility.
